Bible curriculum

We implement lessons from the One in Christ curriculum established from Concordia Publishing House. This curriculum helps young children learn about Jesus and grow in their understanding of God’s love for them. The One in Christ lessons provide a framework for children to explore, express, create and relate to one another each day. Here are the twelve-monthly themes so that you may follow along at home:

  • Unit 3: Thank God for Blessing Me (Communities)
  • Unit 4: Hapy Birthday, Jesus! (Christmas)
  • Unit 5: Jesus Helps and Heals Us (Good Health)
  • Unit 6: Jesus Is Our Good Friend (Friendship)
  • Unit 7: Jesus Takes Away Our Sins (Springtime)
  • Unit 8: Jesus Is Always with Us (The World Around Us)
  • Unit 9: We Share the Love of Jesus (Changes All Around Us)
  • Unit 10: We Worship and Praise God (Construction)
  • Unit 11: God Bless Our Leaders (Leaders)
  • Unit 12: I Am Jesus' Disciple Too! (Water Works)

In addition to our Bible curriculum, young learners have daily exposure to language & literature, creative art & music, science & sensory. Our teachers also plan activities that will strengthen each child's cognitive development, social & emotional development, and large motor development through hands-on experiences, exploration and play. 

At Rosebuds ELC, all children (even infants) have the opportunity to play and explore outdoors. Our playgrounds were reconstructed in 2020 with learning experiences and child safety in mind.
